I use classic yoga stretches, breathing and postures, to deliver straight-forward programmes, which get to the heart of a person’s movement issue(s).
I have worked with teams, retreat and workshop delegates, and a cross-section of athletes, sportspeople and weekend-warriors, as well as people with hip replacements and other rehabilitation needs.

office & chair yoga
Most professions involve a lot of sitting, working on computers and/or repetitive movement. Combine these with stress and tension, and over time, you will be suffering from a bad back, headaches and other postural issues, which can be painful, and/or have a knock-on effect on enjoying life to the full. In addition, as an employer, you may be risking more staff being on sick-leave, or being less productive.
I offer regular office yoga/active stretching sessions for teams and staff members, either online or in-person, which are often scheduled as part of an organisation’s staff wellbeing programme.

targeted programmes
I can offer a personal 1:1 strength & flexibility programme, working with an individual to understand the needs they have to improve their movement and performance, whether that be for everyday life, in relation to a specific sport/training, or as part of injury or ailment rehabilitation. After only a few sessions, a client should begin to learn a series of movements and postures designed to target and improve their flexibility, breathing, recovery, balance and/or range of motion. They will also start to build a tool-kit that is unique to them; one that can be used whenever and wherever it’s needed.

retreats & one-off sessions
Neither promoting the practice of eastern philosophy, nor contorting the body into unhealthy positions, I am all about making yoga fun and accessible to everyone; focusing on technique, correct alignment and breathing, and how each position is benefiting your own body, as well has providing adaptions and modifications to meet the needs of any injuries, ailments or physical issues.
I have also provided short-term cover for existing yoga classes.

wellness at work sessions
Utilising my 20+ years senior management and consultancy experience, these sessions address some of the key issues facing organisations and staff, such as managing stress, working effectively as a team, time management & organisational skills and being more creative, healthy and emotionally intelligent in the workplace.
Each session combines a series of brainstorming discussions, group work, individual Q&A and some sharing of practical ideas on how to be physically and mentally healthier in the workplace. I can also introduce a simple, yet effective active stretching/yoga sequence, which anyone can do, to target those areas of stress and tension and relieve common desk-bound ailments such as back ache and wrist issues.
Although I have a non-profit background, with clients including the University of Oxford, the same need for proactive, healthy and motivated staff applies to the corporate world too. So if you are running an away-day, or feel that you could benefit from one of these sessions with your team, I can adapt and tailor each workshop to a client’s needs, in terms of both content and time frame.
